OUSIA is built on a simple conviction: the most personal computing should happen on the most personal device. Here's how it works — stated plainly.
On-device Edge AI
OUSIA runs a compact language model locally to generate your primed insights and curation. On Android, a secure cloud model assists only during the on-device model's first download; afterward, generation happens on-device. On iOS, generation is on-device from the start.
Personalization through resonance
The app assembles a private, on-device understanding of your season of life — age range, life stage, aspirations, tensions — and uses it to shape the tone, imagery and depth of what you receive. Crucially, it never restates your personal details back to you. You feel understood, not profiled.
What stays on your device
Your profile, moods and reflections are stored and processed locally. They are not uploaded to a cloud profile. Insight generation, the prompt that drives it, and your Wisdom Journal all live on the device.
What leaves — and what doesn't
Product analytics captures anonymous usage events (installs, screen views, taps) to improve the app; it does not include your reflections, moods or profile. Subscription status is managed through the app store. We're honest about this: OUSIA is data-minimizing by design, not a claim of zero data.
